Work Worries and Other Stuff

Honestly, I'm not that upset at work. Things have been quiet and my soul is at ease. I don't know why though. I should be terrified of work but I'm not which concerns me. It's like I'm denying reality. I'm still sore from work which is another concern. How long does it take to heal after a workout? Today I'm just reading, I'm reading my story which was edited and I'm finishing up that horror story I was reading earlier. I'm also going through my third reading of Duma Key which inspired my tooth story which has a proper name now.

But what do I do now? I don't feel like writing today, I feel like doing nothing. I've had a lot of those feelings ever since I started work again.

Oh, there is one thing I'm proud of, I didn't buy too many games this month. This Tuesday I'll have access to eight more games courtesy of Humble Bundle and I'll buy those books I've wanted along with the Scrivener program so I can breakdown that Wednesday TV show. So, I've got a plan on what to do with my money, I just have to be careful. There's so much I want and so little time to get it all. There's a three hundred buck game I wanted to collect. It's part of the .hack series, something that is dear to my heart but has been forgotten by most. If I recall, the .hack series was part of the reason RTF got started. If I go back to when I was in high school then I remember buying the .hack games for my PS2. Sheesh, that's an old system. The good news is that I'm seeing a lot of games being re-released twenty to thirty years later. The Bubsy collection is coming out soon which is also dear to my heart. Bubsy is infamous for having one of the worst 3D platformers of all time. The game is always near the top of the lists ranking the worst games ever made. What made it so bad? Maybe the graphics were pretty bad or maybe the fact that Bubsy wouldn't shut up. Or maybe it was the controls that made you move like a tank. Kind of hard to platform when you move like that. Tank controls are when the controls ask you to turn left or right in a stiff motion and then press forward or backward to move. That sounds simple but usually games have you turn whatever direction the control stick is pushed. It worked for Mario 64, it still works now. For Bubsy's sake the new release has better controls. And the new game Bubsy 4D was announced which has me excited. The game looks good and it people who played it seem to like it. The game is even in on the joke about Bubsy being a joke of a mascot. So, maybe this can be the turn around for the infamous bobcat. It's amazing because everyone I've seen who's reacted to the announcement of 4D looks like they got a cancer diagnosis. The team behind the game has already made a name for themselves in the 3D platformer department. It seems like they're playing off Bubsy's...let's say "charm" to sell the game. I'm down for it.
