Attempt 4
I'm just trying to keep my streak going. Right now I have a tooth ache that feels like it can only be cured by ripping it out with a pair of pliers. A while back I split a premolar and the dentist tried to save it by sewing it back together with filling. You know that feeling you have when you have a loose tooth and you just want it out? That's the same feeling I'm having right now. Take care of your teeth.
Anyway, I've been looking into Collective Shout or Collective Fart as I like to call them. Collective Wheeze claims that they didn't pressure Itch.io and Steam to take down their adult games. For many, this is about censorship but I stand with gamers on this front. But I also am aware of the adult game market and it feels like someone's saying "you took my porn from me." I don't know how to feel. As a straight man, I like sexual stuff in games. In the past, games have been criticized for having attractive male and female figures in games. The bitter side of me says that these are overweight feminists who dislike being compared to fictional characters. For that matter, why aren't men held to the same standard? If a man is attractive in a game, he's gotta go. At least that's according to these wokeites who stick their nose in things it doesn't belong. But if Gamergate 2.0 has taught me anything, it's that we can beat these feminazis. Trump. for all his MANY problems, is antiwoke. But I feel he would go woke if he felt it would win him some votes. Despite that, being woke is very unpopular right now and that's thanks to the collective effort of gamers across the world, mostly the US.
But if I were to play devil's advocate, I do see some games and movies, and other media that is a little too sexualized. That said, women don't understand how men feel about sex. They see it differently, always have, always will. I don't think everything needs to have sex in it to sell, although it does help, but something every time sex comes into the picture is not a good way to make friends. If anything, they should be trying to get gamers on their side rather than making them angry. The last feminists that got gamers angry were doxxed and destroyed. Yes, the media was on their side back then, but tha'ts changed. No one on the media in their right mind would jump into that beehive and stir up the nest. As of now, it feels like gamers who won the election. Wokeness, or being offended by everything, doesn't have a place in a normal society. I remember that Sony censored Devil May Cry 5 after a girl's butt was shown in a cutscene. So what did I do? I bought the version that wasn't censored on the PC. The PC market has always been a place of freedom while the consoles have always had the guards on standby.
So what about me? I feel like if you like sex in games, you should be able to buy them. But, there's room for games that don't have sex appeal. I enjoyed the Horizon games on my PS4 and they feature a woman who looks more like a man. Good gameplay, boring story, probably would have done better if the woman didn't look like a man. I gotta be honest, my dick does add in a factor into what I play. I bought this game called Stellar Blade because the protagonist was a beautiful Korean woman. I will absolutely defend that game. I also bought Nier: Automata because the female protagonist wore a leotard. Now, had the gameplay and story sucked, I, like many gamers, would have passed on the game. But we didn't because it wasn't just the sex appeal that brought us in. This is just like the politician who got mad at rock and roll and tried to censor it. The same thing that always happens happened, they were destroyed. Al Gore, who spearheaded the campaign against the horrors of rock is a shell of his former self. His marriage in tatters, his hopes of being the president are gone forever. If he thought that being a snob would help his career, he was wrong. Though, this is different. In games, the sex, especially in adult games, is explicit. Not all games have boobs, butts, penises, and tits hanging out but there are games that cater to that need. I have no problem with that. If that's what sells, I don't care. Going back to what I was saying earlier, censorship is an evil, awful thing. In fact, when writing my current series, I took pains to look into things teenagers think about when it comes to sex. Probably because I was so sheltered in my Christian school but I think a lot of teenagers are afraid to talk about the hormones going off in their bodies. Anyway I'm going to get some meds for my tooth.
