3 Good Things 2
I have to write about this. Today, was not a good day. At least, not until the night. I woke up and ate a bunch of junk food for breakfast even though I knew I shouldn't. That weight in my bowels almost made me sick. I almost didn't go into work because I felt so crappy. But, I played a game called Balatro which caught my attention. I was on a roll and didn't want to leave the game. So I left the game on all day to not interupt my game seed. Game seeds are how a game is set up and I had the perfect one. I had the perfect line up. The game is like playing poker by yourself. The game will give you a set number of chips you need to win by playing poker hands. As a bonus, you can use planet, tarot, spectral, and Joker cards to add bonuses to your game. Planet cards upgrade the number of chips you can get from hands. Tarot cards can add effects to your playing cards. Spectral cards cover a variety of abilities and are very rare. And Joker cards give out bonuses to your cards and hands. For me, my lineup of Jokers was: Fortune Teller which added a multiple bonus for each tarot. At the time, I had used over fifty tarot cards. Abstract Joker was next and it gave me a bonus multiple of three for each Joker which came to a fifteen bonus. Dust Retriever was my back up plan. It gave me the ability to play all played cards in the final hand one more time. It was like getting to play two hands instead of one. My game was so good that I only had to use it twice to get to the final blind. I also had Odd Todd which gave me a bonus of thirty one chips for each odd card I played. Finally, I had Mad Joker which gave me a ten multiple for a two pair play. The game I left on the computer after I went to work was a perfect run, but I ruined it. I played the wrong card and lost by a thousand chips. I was ready to give up and go to bed but the game let me save the seed which let me play the same game again. Only this time I wasn't going to make a dumb mistake. I mistook a King for a Jack. A rookie mistake or am I dyslexic? You tell me. I replayed the seed and I went in winning by the skin of my teeth. But I did it. I beat the game after my second try. This is a game that I've been wanting to beat for a long time. It brings me back to the days when I was a kid playing Solitaire on the PC. Watching those cards fall down the screen like a waterfall was always a blast. I felt the same way when I made the hundred thousand blind win. I went from playing a blind worth three hundred chips to beating a hundred thousand blind. I feel like I beat Vegas. I get why people are so into poker. I've always watched it but I've never understood the appeal. This game is like poker and card collecting mixed into one. I feel like a million dollars. I don't need three good things today, but I'll add on a bonus. I figured out what to do next with my story.
