Three Pages Attempt 13

Another day spoiled. I had plans to work on my tooth story but my head got in the way. I must have had a crash because I slept most of the day today.

Anyway, I finally figured out a trope from games and anime, the paternal grandparent. I've noticed this in a lot of shows and games I play where the grandparent lets the kids go off on an adventure. The example that comes to mind is Legend of Zelda: Windwaker where Link, the protagonist, has a grandmother. In other games he's had uncles or masters to look over him but this is the closest he's had to a direct relative. Of course Grandma lets Link go out to see with a bunch of pirates to save his sister because she's too old but the question you have to ask is why do these adults let kids do all the heavy lifting? I suppose it's because the reader/gamer/whatever can identify with the protagonist but the truth of the matter is that the parents would out right refuse to let the kids do something stupid like go on an adventure unsupervised. I wonder if that's why God of War works so well. The fourth one I mean. Anyway, it's just a strange thought that occured while I was half asleep.

One of the things I've been working on is how to get the Doctor in my tooth story to sound and act more alien. I've been thinking about giving hints to the reader like how he walks and talks with the protagonist. If he's an alien like I think he is, I'll have to give him some traits to make him seem real.

Back to the chapters.

Gleipnir extra chapter.

We cut to an open area, there's a river nearby and a mountain. Claire is taking off her clothes, she looks like she's preparing for sex with Shuichi. "You can do it Shuichi." "There's no way I can." "Sure you can. Let's do it." Title page shows Claire half-dressed and Shuichi looking away embarassed. Claire dresses down to her skivies and tries to encourage Shuichi who's afraid that someone might see him transformed. "Have more faith in yourself. Being different from other people isn't a bad thing. You're actually BETTER than everyone else. You've got this power, It'd be a waste to not use it." Shuichi transforms. Claire looks happy. Shuichi looks over at the river and asks if they are really going to try and jump it. When Shuichi asks why she would do this she says "It's a shortcut to get home from school." "That's why!?" I like the silliness of them using his powers to do something frivoluos. Claire explains that it takes a full hour to walk to school from her apartment. Shuichi suggests she uses a bike. Claire declares she doesn't like bikes. She says the second reason is that they need to practice and stay close together as much as possible incase an enemy shows up. Claire enters Shuichi and says "It feels really good inside of you." The two launch themselves across the river. We cut to a wet Claire who jokes that their angle was off. We pull back to see a wet Shuichi drying by hanging from a tree. "We'll give it another shot once you've dried off." "Just give it up!!"

I think that's all for today. My days off are always bad. Sheesh. At least this chapter was short.
