Three pages attempt 4

So, the good news is that I'm ahead of the curve. I thought I was missing the mark by barely doing three pages a day. It turns out, after some research, that I was in the wrong. I thought I had to TYPE three pages a day. I must have stopped reading that Artist's Way book after reading that part because the author explains that these pages are supposed to be written long hand. Typing takes a lot less space so I've been doing double the reccomended amount. I'm glad I don't have to dedicate my whole life to this. It means I can still play games and watch Youtube and do the lounging stuff I love to do. Like writing but I'm not in love with it, yet. So I'm at the half way point where I can get almost two thousand words in per day. If I can increase that, I'll be up there with Stephen King and Brandon Sanderson. Speaking of the latter, I want to write my own novel in two months. I don't think I can do a novel a month like Sanderson does, just like I didn't think I could do a thousand words a day like King recommended. I'll start at my own pace and catch up later. I need to pace myself, I need to be kind to myself. I'm going to try to keep the pace but what I need to do today is work on the Tooth Story that's been in the back of my mind for a while. I want to fix and finish it.

What else happened today? There's an online counter for the number of people fired for posting about Charlie Kirk's death. There's also online mobs heading out and trying to find anyone who's posted something negative about Kirk's death and headhunting them. Or getting them fired. The fact is that everyone wants to shout and no one wants to listen. Kirk has become a martyr for Maga and the Right. And I wish it didn't have to be this way but when you try to silence someone with a weapon you make them a hero. I think Kirk also might have been on the spectrum a bit. The way he acts and digs his heels in when it comes to conversations seems to be in line with that kind of mentality. I could be wrong. But the problem with these debates is that everyone goes home thinking they're the winner and posting about it online. It's not like a sports match where the winner and loser is clear. Both sides can claim that they were the winner and worse, both sides go away hurt. This isn't a contest where you can try to do better. You could be on point about every subject and speak perfectly but still "lose." It's like everyone's angry right now and no one wants to listen. Like a doctor telling you you're terminal.

Next, I think I'll cover chapter two of Glepnir: Lend Me Your Power

We open to Shuichi going through the girl's locker room while the girls are in the pool. He's found the right girl's locker and gets a boner when he smells her scent. But the phone isn't there. Cut back to the pool where it is revealed that the girl has the phone with her. Title page shows the girl holding Shuichi on a leash. Him looking sad, her looking prideful. Shuichi walks upstairs to the top floor of the school to the roof where the girl sits outside the rails waiting for him. "So you came, monster. I was kind of hoping you'd go on a rampage at school now that you're secret's out..." Shuichi plans to trick her or at least weasel his way out of this mess. Shuichi convinces himself that the girl must be bluffing because there is no way that she has proof that it was him that transformed. The girl leaves the phone on the edge of the roof. "Looks like I was wrong...Here, you can have your phone back." Shuichi reaches for the phone. The girl says "But the thing is...I know what I saw. A monster. Tried to rape me." She kicks Shuichi off the roof. As Shuichi falls he screams and partially transforms. The girl takes a photo of Shuichi with her phone. Shuichi jumps back to the top enraged. "You look better like this. But are you sure that's smart? Everyone can see you now..." We cut to Nana Mifune who can see something from the roof. When a friend looks, the girl and Shuichi are gone. Mifune has learned the secret but doesn't know what to do with it. The girl touches Shuichi who refuses to let him go until he tells her everything. She threatens to tell everyone else that he's a monster. "Maybe you'd become super famous and get on TV...or maybe...They'd turn you into a lab rat and cut you up into little pieces..." We see this scene of a terrified Shuichi and a picture in his head of doctors surrounding his cut up body. Shuichi breaks down as he explains that he doesn't know why his body is like this. This is something I need. I need Nicholas to confront his powers and deal with the possible consequences. The girl gives in but says she'll be mad if he's lying. We cut to someone in the weeds next to a bridge cutting through the grass. She's looking for something and is upset. Shuichi narrates wondering why this happened when he tried so hard to hide his ability. The pair walk on a bridge next to the person searchin for something. This is something else I need. Nicholas' needs a secret. He should be aware that something happened but not what or why. The girl introduces herself as Claire Aoki which Shuichi thinks is a really pretty name. She also reveals that she's two years younger than Shuichi which surprises him. She address him by his first name which is a sign of closeness in Japan which Shuichi rejects. She holds up a coin with a star on it and asks him if he knows what it is. The person searching notices the coin and jumps up the bridge which is impossible for a normal human. That's another piece I need. I need to set up action between people. It's obvious that a showdown is about to happen. Shuichi and Claire go to her apartment. Claire starts to change in front of him to Shuichi's embarrassement. She says she's covered in sweat. She informs him taht he can't disobey her now since she knows his secret. Shuichi counters that he tried to save her. Claire says that she was ready to die in that fire. Claire explains that she's looking for her sister who is a monster like Shuichi. She touches his groin trying to seduce him and asks him to lend her his power. We cut back to the figure looking for the coins and see that it's a girl who has followed them.

I think I can use this idea of building up sudden tension while adding to the mystery. I wonder what I can come up with.? Maybe Nyarlathotep is sending out signals to affect children at a school that's giving them powers?

Ok, so for Nicholas, I need to have him have an opinion when it comes to his powers. Does he like them? Does he hate them? What?
