Three Pages Attempt 9

I'm on hold right now. I received a letter saying my food stamps info wasn't completed. Why do I always have to pay for someone's incompetence? Why can't they just use the last year's info to verify that I'm disabled. I've been on hold for almost an hour now and I just want to relax. I figured I'd get my pages in while waiting. Yesterday, I was able to convince my boss to let me help her out. My current boss always sighs whenever she talks to me, that's a "good" sign. I asked if I could learn how to use the deep friers to cook the finger food. The residents don't always use their utensils or dislike the food we provide for them, so we offer an alternative of food flash cooked in a frier. Usually it's chicken nuggets or French fries, something that is "finger food." I told my sup that if I could learn how to do finger food, it would be one less thing she has to worry about while the head chef is out on PTO. I also got my days fixed so I can work more than a week these next two weeks. Sheesh, this phone call is taking forever. Maybe I should try tomorrow. No, I've been on hold for over an hour and I've got the time. Anyway, my supervisor agreed and today, I get to train in some new tech that might let me get my foot in the door toward learning other things at this job. I've been doing the same thing at my current job for three years, it's about time that I changed things up a bit. I wanted to nap after doing my pages but I think I'll play games instead. I've got a bunch on my list of what I need to play. A lot of Lovecraft stuff I need to go over too. I hear this break in the phone's waiting music. It always gives me false hope because I think that it's someone who's ready to answer me. It always more crap. The problem is that they don't want to tell me on their site if there's a problem or not. Does anyone know how this stuff works? How does the food stamps site tell me if my stamps were approved? There's not a "yes" or "no" list or anything like that. How difficult is it these days to give me a yes or no? Anyway, I'm going to play Stardew Valley after this. I tried playing Coral Island which is a clone of Stardew. Same farm mechanics, same story about an evil corporation trying to take over the town. Blah, blah, blah. It's so blatantly copying Stardew that it feels like fanfiction. Like the developers said "I want to add this and this to the game." Sheesh, I'm in a foul mood. Going back to work today. I'm not looking forward to it. I just want to be left alone. I need more hobbies and get to know more people if I'm going to be a better writer. Maybe I should stick to first person since that seems to be my forte right now.

Man, writing in your blog in first person does seem to help. Maybe I should switch to third person, or second. That would be interesting.

That reminds me, I finally made contact with some people on Discord after ghosting them for a month. It's hard to keep up with people, it's hard to be social. I have to take time out of my day to try and establish relationships with people that I don't want to know. At least, that's how my autism feels. But after looking at these people, they seem nice. Speaking of which, moronic Trump and his lacky JFK JR. declared that autism is caused by Tylenol. Is there anything Trump won't do to avoid the Epstein files. It just shows that he's guilty. People want to believe in Trump so much because they don't want to be wrong. If you care about something, you critique it, not suck up to it. I've noticed that about authors and about life. Trump would rather be around people who suck up to him than people who know what they are doing.

On to Gleipnir Chapter 7: Claire's Sister

The opening is of Claire wearing the transformed head of Shuichi. She's also holding his gun. Back at the abandoned warehouse, Claire says she thinks her sister is still in this town. "Even monsters need food an a place to sleep." Shuichi asks if she thinks that someone is helping her, Claire says she's unsure. I don't really care for this dialogue. It's not bad but it's too expositional. There needs to be more stakes involved. Maybe I'm reading too much of George Martin. Claire says that when they smelled her sister's scent, it was enough to scare her. Probably due to all the blood on the uniform. I'm confused by this next part. Shuichi says "And you said, you want to look for her with me...you want to say it's not like me don't you?" Claire says "No, not that. I thought it was cool." Shuichi blushes. Obviously, he's being complimented but I don't understand this dialogue that's going on. Shuichi asks what Clarie plans to do if they find her sister. Claire says she'll ask why her sister turned into a monster and why she killed their parents. And what was with the coin she gave her. The two sit in the warehouse waiting in the hot sun for people to go by. There's a local train station that a lot of people use so that's their best bet to find Claire's sister. I like this investigative way of thinking. They don't know how to use all the powers yet and are just practicing things. I need someone like that in Nicholas' life. Someone to push him. Shuichi decides that even if they have to face her, they need to find her. Claire agrees, "Yeah, we'll find that slut!" "Huh? Your sister is a slut?" "No...well, I don't really know. I'm not though. I'm still a virgin." "No one asked!!" Claire asks if they should try the mall tomorrow. Shuichi says that there was a movie he wanted to see. Claire offers to go with him (I think) and says that she'll go as long as it's not a horror movie. "I hate being scared." This seems to surprise Shuichi. A figure near the station passes by. She has her hat down over her head. Shuichi suddenly transforms. When Claire asks why he tells her he can smell someone with the same scent. Claire jumps away from the window. She pulls out a camera and zooms in the lens. Shuichi narrates "Just breathing is making my body feel so heavy." Claire puts down the camera, she sees her sister. "That's not one of my sister's friends. That's...my sister." Claire quickly changes out of her clothes. She says that they will capture her sister together. Claire says that they'll use the gun to hold her hostage. "Wait, when you say use my gun..." "Shuichi, she's killed so many people. She's a serial killer." Shuichi asks to let him go by himself. Claire says "Nooooope." "Huh?" "I told you, when we die, we'll be two in one." Claire points the gun at her sister. Shuichi can smell something on Claire. Like she's killed her emotions somehow. "How is she so calm. She's looking at the person who killed her parents. She's about to shoot her own sister." Claire pulls the trigger but Shuichi forces them to move. The bullet pierces Claire's sister's hat. She turns to see them. Over the pair, a monstrous ghost hovers above them. The sister's eye is the same as Shuichi's when he's transformed.

I'm taking a brief break.
